Ryan Jacob DeSutter

Here's my new nephew, Ryan. He was sucking his thumb already and making all the cute baby faces and noises. I'm glad we are so close to Brian and Lauren's house so I can pop in for baby love anytime.

Baby News!

Once again, not my baby news. This morning around 6:40 my brother and his wife welcomed a baby boy! I'd love to share his name...but he's still without one. I'd love to share pictures, but this is the one day ever Dan has taken the camera. I visited the "boy" this afternoon. He is beautiful and looks just like his daddy. What's even more fun is that his early and unexpected arrival leaves his big sis, Emily, in my care. Or rather, for the next day I have built in entertainment for Lydia! Emily (who is 7) plays with Lydia, and Lydia adores her in return. Just needed to share how I am the happiest auntie again.

No reason to blog...

...if it weren't for this cute face! Thanks to Aunt Steph for taking a few pictures of Lydia with her mommy last week.

Life has been busy, but not really interesting (hence the infrequent blog posts). We're just back and forth between the Woodlands and Houston several times a week. Lydia is a pro at napping in her pack n play. We even had a sleepover last night at the VonHohn's! The house remodel should start to pick up now that we've made it past the inspection phase. We have walls and ceilings! We are really starting to miss our Houston friends. Just a few more months before we'll have everyone over to our new home.

It's Raining, It's Pouring

It rained and poured...for about 5 minutes.
It was still such a nice change in the land of eternal heat and sunshine.

UPDATE: The rain came back! It's been raining for about 4 hours. It's wonderful!

More pictures from Amy's Visit

We really enjoyed our visit with Amy, Jeremy, and Cole. Here are some more pictures from our time together. I'm just one hurricane evacuation away from visiting them in Seattle.
Things weren't all rosy while Amy was here though. Lydia decided she would come down with croup for the week. We had three very stressful days watching her breathing and praying for her to sleep. After it broke, she was left to recover from a nasty cold and serious congestion. Thankfully, everything cleared up in 7 days and she's back to normal now! Don't worry, we didn't let a little croup get in the way of sharing sippy cups and snacks with Cole.
