Sunday Afternoon at the Park
After Church, we spent a few hours enjoying the weather at Memorial Park. We probably took 50 pictures, trying to capture just a few cute moments. Here are the results.
Despite all the toys we packed, Dad's sunglasses were Lydia's favorite.
Daddy moves in for a kiss.
Lydia returns the kiss!
All worn out from playing.
Lydia practices sitting.
Mommy's turn for a kiss.
This game always gets squeals.
Mother daughter love.
Lydia works the camera.
What a playful little girl!
Saturday Golf
On Saturday, we went to a golf tournament in the Woodlands and met up with Stephanie and Jon. It was a beautiful day! Some of us watched the golfers, but Steph and I just played with Lydia most of the time. Here are a few pictures from our day.

Camille tagged me again!
Grab the nearest book.Open the book to page 56. Find the fifth sentence. Post the text of the next two to five sentences in your blog along with these instructions. Don’t dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST. Tag five other people to do the same.
The nearest book to me, almost touching the computer, is my Bible study guide called A Heart Like His.
"Once again, we have the great privilege of seeing the words God inspired from David's pen after David learned about the tragic slaughter. David's words of response will comprise your second and final reading assignment for today. Read Psalm 52. At first glance, David may seem to be referring to Doeg, but the seventh verse pin-points Saul. The great wealth applied to the jealous king."
So that's a kind of random few sentences unless you know what's going on in David's life. In short, David is upset after Saul killed the priests in Doeg because they unknowingly helped David escape from Saul. Psalm 52 records David's emotions from this time.
Okay, I tag Meredith, Jordan, Stephanie, Lauren (I'm determined to get you blogging), and Emily.

6th Folder, 6th Picture
Camille tagged me to share the 6th picture in the 6th folder under My Photos.
This is my brother, Brian, and his wife, Lauren, with their daughter Emily (6) and their foster daughter Lizzie (1 1/2). This picture was taken during a family hike on our trip to Tulluride, Colorado this past August.
I tag Christina, Amy, Stephanie, and Lauren (now you have a reason to post a new blog).

Our Day at the Zoo
We took Lydia to the Houston Zoo on Saturday. The weather was finally "cool" enough for us to walk around with her for a few hours. She loved riding around with her daddy but found the plants more interesting than the animals. We kept trying to get her to look up at the huge elephant or giraffe, but she'd stare at the greenery nearby instead! I bought a zoo membership and hope to spend many mornings there with her and the animals.
