Henry's Commitment at Second Baptist

Sunday morning we got up and hurried to church for the Parent-Child Commitment service. We definitely had the newest baby presented and got lots of congratulations for making it to church by 8:45 showered and dressed with a two and a half week old baby. We are excited to have such a wonderful home church to come alongside us as we try to raise Henry and Lydia under God's direction and authority.

Henry is very serious!

Uncle Adam (Dan's brother) came from San Antonio to meet Henry. Lydia loved on him and continued asking for him after he left.

My dad came in town also. Lydia L-O-V-E-D playing with her Paca. She made him play "night night" for a very long time. I admitted to my dad that sometimes I actually fall asleep when we play "night night."

And I even got a picture with my little guy! Why is it that mom's are never in pictures? I guess we are always the ones taking them. We still have to take a picture of all four of us. It's one of my goals for this weekend!

The first few days.

I've been working on this post for two days. Needless to say, I'm having a hard time finding time for blogging right now! We just love our little boy, and I'm so happy to be back home with Lydia.

More baby news

It just keeps getting better! My sister, Amy, was due with her baby boy a week after me. But, since Henry arrived a little early, her baby decided to come early too! Blakely Charles Martin arrived on April 9th weighing 7 pounds 11 ounces and measuring 20 inches. I'm thinking joint birthday parties are in our future!

Happy Birth Day

Henry arrived this evening at 5:36 weighing 7 pounds 15 ounces and measuring 21 inches long. I was in labor for 7 hours and pushed for 23 minutes. I'm feeling good and Henry is busy sleeping and eating.

Doll House

Lydia received her first doll house for her 2nd Birthday. She loves it already, and I love watching and listening while she plays. I hope you can hear her talking in this video (she's feeding baby and ends with "all done peas"). Happy Birthday, Lydia! You're going to be such a good helper when brother arrives!

Jacquie's Surprise Party

Surprise! My sweet friend, Jacquie, turns 30 on April 3rd (Lydia shares her birthday). We tried surprising her a week early with a big party at my house after the men's Baylor basketball game last Sunday night. We had so much fun chatting with friends and eating delicious food.

We had fajitas to feed about 100 people...always order less food!
