Lydia and I spent a week at my sister's house in Lewiston, NY. It was so relaxing for me. Lydia was happy playing with her cousins, Josh and Matt. The weather was a nice break from our Texas summer. Here are some pictures with explanations. Enjoy!
Meet Brenna Renee (3 months old). This little girl just sleeps, eats, and smiles! I loved getting little giggles out of her. Lydia was jealous when I was with Brenna. I don't even have a picture of the two of them because Lydia would not stand close enough. I love you, Brenna!

We went peach picking at a nearby farm with great ambitions of making jam. Christina did end up making three peach cobblers, and we canned about ten jars of peaches. No jam though.

Since the weather was so pleasant, the kids played outside several hours every day.

Lydia loved the little swing. We'll have to get one of these for our new backyard.
Lydia also experienced several "firsts." Here she is wearing overalls (boy overalls) and playing in the dirt!
She also ate some dirt. Uncle Brett had to scrape it off the back of her teeth!
Josh showed her a worm (also crickets and a turtle eating crickets).
The boys love dressing in full camo with face paint. Josh is posing with his "knife" (piece of bark).
Bathtime was interesting. Lydia doesn't love baths, this picture captures on of the only times she sat down in the water. See Josh's nifty blue cast?
Lydia left her signature in the bathtub. The boys initially thought it was gross, but then thought it was pretty cool.
Josh and Matt were so sweet to Lydia. Josh was much more gentle with her becuase he's older. In return for all his kindness, there was no lack of cousin kisses.

You beat me to the pictures - good job! We miss Lydia - what a fun little cousin she was. I told Matthew we are going peach picking again and he wanted to know if you were coming back. We tried a jar of peaches last night (to make sure they worked before we do more) and they were just PERFECT!!! I bought lots of jars so off to peaches and making and canning applesauce! I sure am going to have sticky counters this fall!

Man, your family really is spread out across the country!!! What a fun visit though. I think I could ge tused to the peach picking, dirt digging NY!!! Lil differnt than NYC. Hope all is well!
hmm... anyone else notice the Texas girls were wearing their long sleeves and pants and the New York boys were in shorts or short sleeves?... hmmm... that's what we look like when we visit!

I love the poop picture in the tub!! Serg and I were laughing so hard :) It is so funny to see Lydia pointing at her poop in the tub!!
The boys are so cute with Lydia. I love the picture of Josh giving Lydia a new baby doll:) She looks so amazed and happy. I also love the boy overalls and the dirt on Lydia. She is no girly girl :) I love it!!
