The house project seems to have taken off in the last few weeks! We are busy picking out "stuff" and watching our new take form. I hope you can appreciate the changes with these "before" and "in between" pictures.
This was the view of the family room from the wet bar.
The wet bar is gone, so this is the view of the family room from the kitchen. You can see our new entertainment built in on the far wall. I designed it to have big storage drawers for Lydia's toys!
Here's my new kitchen. We took down a wall to make a breakfast bar (with decorative legs). All the new cabinetry is in and primed for paint.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all of the trim and decorative legs in the kitchen. Oh, I can't wait to see it all done. And the next time I'm in Houston, playdate at your brand spankin' {nearly} new house. :)
Wow! That's quite a job you guys have got going on there! It looks great and it will look even nicer when the job is complete. The built ins in the living room look really nice, I love that touch! I wish I had that kind of handy man in me! Great pics of the family on your previous blogs too (that pool picture is really sweet). I'll keep checking in to see how things progress with your project.

So exciting! Did you have help designing and deciding on the layout of the cabinets and built ins? I LOVE built ins and they are a must for future houses so I'm sure I'll be chatting with you about this later!

your vent hood turned out great... everything makes the ceilings look so much higher than before. it looks fantastic... can't wait to see when the paint in on the cabinets doors and all!
