Wait...don't trash that!

It's time to demolish most of my "new" house to make way for my really new house.  Dan and I agree...demo work must be sooo satisfying.  Seeing all this old and outdated stuff makes me want to grab my hammer and get to work.  But, we'll leave that to the pros.  I did enjoy walking through the house to see if anything was worth salvaging.  And here she is...this most beautiful chandelier will continue to find it's home in this house.
What do I do with this strange light fixture?  Do you think it's some one's treasure?  Should I post it on Craig's list?  If you're wondering, this is the corner of the master bath vanity.  Could you imagine applying mascara next to this thing?
A chef's delight....30 years ago.  I just had to show you the cook top with punch controls.  I'd never seen these type of controls before.  Look how clean it is after so many years!

WOW! I have never seen a stove like that either!! Crazy. I would try and sell the light thing. It's not terrible if placed in the right surroundings/arrangement. Have you checked the attic? On Del Monte there was an old suitcase and wooden ducks, like the kind you use to practice duck hunting... To funny!

Oh if you find any wooden ducks my husband would def be interested and buying those off of you. The light is super fun, I think I would keep it and find a nice place for it...but up to you...

Post those on Craig's List!! You wouldn't believe what you can get for those things. We had light fixtures WORSE than that in our house. I listed one of them on there for $35 thinking nobody would want it and I would have to reduce the price. The next day a guy offered me $50 to hold it for him until that evening. Crazy!
We've sold sinks, faucets, all sorts of things on there. I'd really try to salvage whatever you can and post it. You'd be surprised how many people may want your junk. :)

The Long Family

This post made me laugh out loud-- I kinda like the light fixtures--be creative--agree with your friend Emily--some things people would love to buy but....I may save the lights..they are always going to find ones like that on HGTV...you may find something cool on their website to do with them....we would be up for ducks also if you fine any - of goose decoys or old guns...you never know

Okay, I don't know anything about decorating, but I think that chandelier is totally in style (I've seen a lot of people painting those and putting them in nurseries!) That wallpaper, though, is crazy! Can't wait to see 'after' pics :)

The Martin's

that stove was definitely made the same year as the old blender of mom and dad's that they got for their wedding.

don't sell the lamps... you should use them. or I will!

Great post.... I would definetly sale that light... my mom is an antique seller/buyer and she would snatch that up for the right price of course. And that stove is something else... you could probably sale that as well... bc a sure antique.
