4th of July

We spent the 4th of July at Dan's parent's house on Lake Conroe. In addition to frisbie, football, swimming, skiing, and boating, willing participants also enjoyed crawfish (I just took pictures)! It was a full house with Ben, Merritt and baby Grant, Aunt Leigh and Uncle David, and Adam all up for the weekend too. Here's a little slide show to commemorate Independence Day Westcott style!

After two days at the lake, we spent the evening with my parents, Steph and Jon, and Brent and Cate. Our big dinner topic was "correct" methods for eating corn on the cob. After dinner, Dan took Lydia into the pool for the first time! She cried for most of it, but as she got used to the water she liked it. We'll continue to work up her enthusiasm for the pool since we're hoping she'll be a superstar swimmer someday!
