A water main running through our yard sprung a leak yesterday and was fixed today. Lydia loved watching the men and machines work. Water was spewing up and everything! They also opened up the fire hydrant to release pressure. We played in the water a little bit while we watched.

Home Decorating
Do you see it? The new home decor in the middle of my window? A colorful yet small addition to the window. Lydia made this, set it up there, stood back with her hands on her hips and said, "it looks good, don't you think?"
I thought it was soooo funny. I guess she's had her share of hearing me explain the same thing are we've been decorating our walls.
Isn't she cute!

We almost lost him
We keep Henry on a big spread of blankets because he spits up all day long. He's starting to move, mostly backwards, and always off the blankets (just in time to spit up usually). The other day we almost lost him under the couch!

No turning back
I started Henry on solid foods this week. I couldn't believe how easy he was to feed. He never once reached for the spoon or put his fingers in his mouth. How long will this last? I'm sure not long!

DeSutter Family Reunion
The DeSutter crew (most of it) showing off our reunion tee shirts (designed by our awesome cousin, Drew).
The golfers.
White water rafters.
Lydia's older cousins, Emily, Matt, and Josh.
Amy, Lydia, Cole, and me.
My parents with the grandkids.
Dad's day (check out Brenna, fast asleep in the backpack carrier).
Horse back riding (we did a free ride rather than a trail ride, it was so fun!).
Christina and Amy
We had easy trails through the forest right by our house. It was so nice to play with the kids in the forest.
Lydia on the lookout for animal tracks.
Hiking with kiddos.
Some of the cousins playing in the woods.
Blake and Henry sharing the play mat (these cousins were born two days apart).
Family Vacation in Breckenridge
We enjoyed a week in Breckenridge, Colorado together with my parents, brother, sisters, and their families (Brent and Cate could not join us because of Brent's dental school schedule). The weather was such a nice break from Houston's heat. We played outside as much as possible!
A family hike.
Henry just being cute!
Dan let Lydia put her feet in the COLD stream. She'd barely put her toes in the water.
Dan took Lydia for a hike later....
...and she ended up playing in the stream like this!
Here I am with my girl!
Dan and Henry.

My thoughts this week
When I saw her standing next to the pool, I couldn't help but wonder what she'll look like in ten years getting ready to dive in at a swim meet.
I can't believe she's only two. I look at her and see a 5 year old. Where did my baby go? This is my favorite of her dresses, and it's the last time she'll probably wear it because it's too small (I couldn't zip it all the way up without choking her).
Lydia is shy around Fiona and Catherina every morning, but by bedtime they are best friends!
My girls love ice cream almost as much as I do! We eat it together every night!
I'm so silly, but I got really excited when Nanny showed up Friday to babysit the kiddos, and they were all in coordinating orange and white!
