My dear friends, Marjorie and Ken, tied the knot last night in Clear Lake. The wedding ceremony was formal and included traditions from Marjorie's Filipino heritage.
The veil symbolizes God's protection over the couple, the knot symbolizes being tied together for the rest of their lives.
Here was the first hint that the reception would be a big hit with me...a table full of homemade cookies! The whole room smelled like sugar!
Marjorie, Ken, and I all started working at ConocoPhillips at the same time (2003), and we were all in the same training class. We spent three months as a group in a classroom training setting and had tons of fun together that summer. Almost everyone from the training class was at the wedding. Here are most of the girls I started with.
Joanna, me, and Dorothy. We still see Dorothy at least once a year even though she lives in Kansas now. We met for a quick lunch before the wedding started.
And here I am with the bride, Marjorie. She will be moving to North Carolina while Ken finishes graduate school. I will really miss our monthly lunch dates.

BTW.........You look amazing!! It is hard to believe you can still loOk that great and be almost 8 months pregnant. Love the purple dress, it hides the belly so well.

Wow. You might be the most beautiful pregnant person ever! How are you feeling these days? Getting excited? Does Lydia understand that she's going to be a big sis? She's such a cutie!
