Weekend Stay-cation
We wanted a getaway for the three day weekend without having to fly or drive too far. The Woodlands Resort (45 minutes away) was the perfect destination for an in-town vacation!
Henry flew up in the air over and over and over!
Lydia and Henry were so excited to be on vacation. They were super sweet with each other all weekend. They slept in the same room (Henry in a pack-n-play). Lydia declared she got "no sleep" because Henry kept talking all night. Trust me, it was silent anytime I checked on them. Sun and pool fun wore them out completely!
The kids had such a fun time with their daddy. Seriously, I tried to swim and play with them, but Henry would just cry (full blown fits, actually) if daddy didn't come into the pool with us.
Mabel (2 months old) was there too. She was perfect!
This is a favorite picture. Both big kids were enjoying snow cones when a clown walked by them. Henry completely lost it (see his sad face). He told the clown "no, no, no."
Lydia enjoyed her pool side burgers and fries. She had so much fun that she almost never stopped talking. It was amazing...so many words!
Dan and I got out for dinner both evenings, leaving the older kids with a sitter. Here's sweet Mabel sound asleep on her daddy while we enjoyed dessert at Jasper's.
We were sad to say goodbye to our resort weekend. Who wants to join us next time?!

Mabel's Newborn Photos
My friend, Ashley Grimmer, spent hours propping and re-propping Mabel for some newborn photos. What a sweet way to remember my little girl!
No posing here, this shot was just great timing as Mabel was dream smiling.

Lydia turned 4 on April 3rd! Here she is with her birthday cupcakes.
Since Lydia, Henry, and Blake all share a birthday week, Amy hosted a triple birthday party at her house. Unfortunately, on the day of the party Lydia had a pretty high fever so she had to stay home with Dad. Here she is the morning of her party with her new presents (cash register and grocery stand).

Cole and Grant were great playmates, enjoying the new (fully assembled and screwed into place) train set from Nanny and Pops Westcott!

Mabel's Delivery
I started labor contractions around 10 pm on Friday night. My mom and sister, Stephanie, were in town. Mom and I went for a good walk around midnight, and then I decided to take a hot bath to assess how I was feeling. That lasted about 5 minutes. We headed to the hospital and got there in time for pushing contractions to start. I had to wait an hour for the on call physician to deliver the baby, but Mabel came quickly without any complications. Stephanie joined us in the delivery room and cheered me on while I pushed!

So much love
I love watching Lydia and Henry "play" with Mabel. They really love her! Henry plays peek a boo and hides for a few seconds in a different room before running back to say boo.
