I started labor contractions around 10 pm on Friday night. My mom and sister, Stephanie, were in town. Mom and I went for a good walk around midnight, and then I decided to take a hot bath to assess how I was feeling. That lasted about 5 minutes. We headed to the hospital and got there in time for pushing contractions to start. I had to wait an hour for the on call physician to deliver the baby, but Mabel came quickly without any complications. Stephanie joined us in the delivery room and cheered me on while I pushed!

So much love
I love watching Lydia and Henry "play" with Mabel. They really love her! Henry plays peek a boo and hides for a few seconds in a different room before running back to say boo.

Baby Sister!
We welcomed Mabel Renée Westcott at 3:23 AM on March 17th, weighing 7 pounds 14 ounces!
Both Mom and Baby are doing great.
Praise God!

Our morning
Lydia is recovering from a tummy bug today. Since it also affected me and Dan, I'm busy cleaning linens and disinfecting the house from a yucky two days. This left Henry to play on his own...a rare occurance. He's been perfect all morning. He even spent some time in the kitchen!
Cooking
and cleaning.

What a mess!
Let the reconstruction begin! We are finally replacing the siding on our house. The big truck arrived in the morning with supplies. It was an adventure to watch everything get unloaded.
This might be the last smile until the project is done (in two weeks). The banging all day long is quite irritating.
Down with the old.

2011 Holidays
We spent Thanksgiving in Corpus Christi (no pictures) with my parents. Over the holiday, Amy and Jeremy moved from Seattle back to the Woodlands! We are thrilled to have them in the Houston area. Amy and I quickly set up fun activities so we can get together with the kids almost every week.

Happy Birthday to Me!
Since my 31st birthday is a few days, I thought I'd play catch up and share about my 30th Birthday! In September, my mom, sisters, and sister-in-law Lauren spent a long weekend with me in Boston to celebrate my OLD AGE. We had a wonderful time visiting (soooo much talking), sight-seeing, and eating, eating, eating. I can't wait until another sister gets old enough to justify another trip for all of us!
